11/05/09--Bro. Gomez was released to his family. Please pray for this family.
Monday 11/02--Please continue to pray--
I wish we had good news about Nehemiah Gomez. The kidnappers promised to release him on Sunday morning, then this morning, however, as of 6:45 PM, Monday evening they have not released him.
Friday---UPDATE: Last night the kidnappers let Nehemiah call his dad, Jose Gomez and tell him he had until today (Friday) to pay the ransom money. From that we know that Nehemiah is still alive. Please pray much through out the day, it would also be deeply appreciated if you would forward this email to your friends and encourage them pray.
Saturday--LATEST UPDATE:
Just before 10:30 PM (Saturday, October 31) The kidnappers allowed
Nehemiah to call his dad, Jose Gomez. News is that a blind fold and
ropes he was bound with have been removed. He is in a motel, but he doesn't know himself where it is. One man is watching him through the night, and he is supposed to be released tomorrow morning with enough money to ride a bus home.
Thank you for your prayers.
Please continue to pray!

A Very Real Problem-Urgent Prayer Request
We do not know these missionaries personally but we do know that they are Independent Baptist missionaries. We do know that this is a very real issue here in Mexico. We can only imagine the support they need right now through the prayer of every saint of God.
Forwarded from Victory Baptist Press:

Pastor Wayne Burke Update
PASTOR WAYNE BURKE UPDATE:
God has seen fit to bring Pastor Wayne Burke back from the very brink of death. A week ago the doctors did not hold much hope for his survival after his emergency quadruple by-pass surgery. Things looked very bleak and the family had been called in and we had begun preparations for a trip to Kansas and Ohio. Now, just a week later, plans are completely different! Pastor Wayne Burke has been out of ICU since Tuesday and it looks as though he will be heading home by this weekend. He is excited with the prospect of being given more time on this earth to serve the Lord. For the complete story you can go to http://cozaddalechronicles.blogspot.com/ and get the inside scoop from his son, Pastor Travis Burke, and from his daughter, Chrystal Snell.
PASTOR RAY CHAMBERLIN:
I would also like to add another family and church to your prayer list. Pastor Ray Chamberlin and the Faith Baptist Church of Cynthiana, Kentucky would appreciate your prayers. Pastor Ray Chamberlin pastored the Faith Baptist Church faithfully till his retirement when his son became pastor. Pastor Ray Chamberlin has been in a fight with cancer and is about to win the victory through death. Please pray for this dear family and church.

Urgent Prayer Request
Our former pastor and best friend is in need of your urgent prayers. Pastor Wayne Burke who served the Lord so faithfully as our pastor and is now pastor of the Hillcrest Bible Baptist Church in Arkansas City, Kansas is in intensive care after undergoing a quadruple by-pass. The latest report is that he is not doing well and the doctor has advised the family to all come to his side.We would appreciate your prayers for Pastor Wayne Burke and for his family. This is a photo I have taken from Mrs. Burke's face book (taken in December of 2008). You are welcome Pastor Burke and can have a talk to me about posting such a picture when you get well!
