We Have Done The Baja 1000!

The Baja 1000 is a desert race from the tip of Baja California del Norte (Tijuana) through the desert all the way down to the southern tip of Baja California del Sur (Cabo San Lucas).  Some 1,000 miles of desert track.

Well we were not in the race and we did most of our travel on the very skinny two lane roads rather than the dirt tracks but we did go all the way from Tijuana to Cabo San Lucas pulling a trailer loaded with some 69,000 pieces of Gospel literature.  All told from here in Magdalena we covered approximately 3,000 miles in ten days.

Most of the pastors and church works we met along our journey were starving for fellowship and most did not have any scripture literature to give out!  What a blessing to be involved in a very small way in such a great need!  God gave us safety in some unbelievable driving circumstances and it was a great joy to enjoy the trip by invitation of Gary and Tammy Schwer and Pastor and Sister Ed Bragg.  When can we go again?
